A certified fast learner!
My name is Jaelyn Denise and I am a professional singer, cybersecurity professional, and mother of a 2 year old cane corso named Aero. I am from the foggy mountains of Crestline, CA, but I spent most of my childhood wandering the forests in Southern Alabama.
I love gardening, building castles in Minecraft, and taking afternoon cat naps. Over the years I've gradually grown my rubber ducky collection to a staggering 137 pieces. My favorite color is midnight blue with sparkles - think, galaxy!
I've traveled extensively the past several years and enjoy and appreciate the life that I've been blessed with. Being able to spend my days solving problems, spending time with family and exploring new cities is truly a dream come true!
A bit about my academic and performance history:
- I started college when I was 16.
- When I turned 17 I graduated cum laude with an Associate of Arts degree.
- At 18 I recorded my first original album.
- At 20 I headlined at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
- At 21 I became an Algebra II teacher at a recovery high school.
- At 22 I developed my first web application and console game in Python.
- At 23 I managed a nightclub in Orange County.
- At 24 I completed my first web application penetration test.
- At 25 I became a certified full-stack software developer.
- At 26 I became a software security engineer.
- At 27 I headlined at the Virgin Hotels & Casino.
- At 28 I became a GRC analyst.
- At 29 I became a certified information systems security professional (CISSP).
- And today, I'm continuing my education, buliding a knowledgebase for future learners, and playing bass guitar in a grunge rock band.
My passions and interest have taken me on quite the journey, but one thing that has remained consistent, is my love of learning, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. I believe that with hard work and dedication, all things are possible. I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow myself both personally and professionally, and I'm excited to see where my journey will take me next!
Some of the things I enjoy outside of technology are:
- Karaoke
- Reading
- Nature
- Painting
- Learning new languages
- Trying new recipes!
